About Us
We are an independent equine and farm animal veterinary service based in Co Wicklow. Set up in October 2026 by Peter Cassidy. Peter graduated from the University of Surrey and started working in Shropshire, England focusing mainly on equine and farm animal practice. He joined Drumrainey, Magherafelt, before moving to Ratoath Vets to focus on equine work whilst continuing to work with small animals. He established Rathview Veterinary Services to provide local, dependable and high quality veterinary care.
Peter particularly enjoys lameness assessments making use of a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner and digital X-Ray system. Reproduction and surgical cases are Peter’s other areas of interest.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys running, watching rugby and walks in Co. Wicklow with his dog Rufus.
